Day 2 - 公館麵線店 Gongguan Noodle and Poya

Gongguan district （公館）was a new place to us. We have been to Taipei quite a few times in the past and never been here. It's hard to find things to do in Taipei. So, we just open google map to see which area have not been explored. Coming out of the metro station there were already a lot of people and many food stalls on the street. Decided to have some deep fried stinky tofu at 公館麵線店 Gongguan Noodle (Eat 43). Stinky tofu only smelled bad, can't really taste the stinkiness at all. Love eating it with their sauce and Taiwanese style kimchi.

Order and pay first before sitting down. It's a small traditional shop. Even though they say they have air conditioning, it was not turned on. It wasn't hot enough for them to turn on AC. Taiwanese seem to have a higher heat tolerance. It was over 20 C and people were wearing down jacket....

There were other things we could have ordered but I was full already.

Many other food stalls on the street. I can just look...putting anymore food in my stomach would have surely gotten me sick.

There is a big POYA寶雅 in Gongguan. Love this shop. Selling most of everything I would need for cosmetic / body care and even snacks. This one was one of the biggest ones I have been to. I am probably just very outdated but I was awed when I found disposable bath towel. It's not environmentally friendly to use disposable items, but sometimes during emergency, it's nice to have. I couldn't trust the towers at RF Hotel. Glad to find disposable tower that's just NT$59. Absorbent and dries fast. Lasted me for a week with a single towel

Found these Sailormoon pads and was so excited. Bought them and turns out the Sailormoon print is only on the packaging. The entire pad is just white....
