Day 6 - Taipei - Fried Mackerel Thick Soup 永樂台南土魠魚羹

With so many different types of thick soup in Taiwan, we tried out another type with mackerel at Yongle Fried Mackerel Thick Soup 永樂台南土魠魚羹 (Eat 56).  It's just across the street from Yongle Market.  Very simple set up on the road...basically sitting and eating on the road.

Very simple menu.  Just ordered a soup and a braised duck egg.

There are pieces of deep fried mackerel inside.  The meat is quite stiff and a little fishy.  Not really to my taste.  The soup itself is quite generic.

I thought duck egg would taste different, but actually pretty much the same as chicken egg.  The yolk is softer though.
