Day 2: Taipei Station Underground Mall
It was many years ago that we would hear people go to the Taipei station underground mall (Buy 6)to go shopping. It has be ages since we went to Taipei, wanted to check out what the place look like now, especially after covid.
The place is divided into several sections. Y, Z, M and the Breeze. district. Just like before, the place look been run down and dark. The only difference is that many of the shops are closed down and Breeze section is moving out. There are barely anyone there. The people that are there are mostly just passing by.
There are several toy capsule stores which are comparably expensive. I can get 2 breakfast for the price of one toy capsule, making it totally not worth the value.
There are some clothing shops in the Y and Z area which are unbelievably cheaply priced. At the same time, the quality is not good and the style. is definitely not something we would wear. More like clothes we would see in wet market in Hong Kong.
We really just wanted to make a custom stamp in the station. For some reasons, they just make it better than the shops in Hong Kong. Since we are passing by, might as well get some new stamps. Only take about 15 minutes to make.
There are some restaurants in the Taipei Station Underground Shopping Arcade. But most of them are empty. Even though the price is cheap, I wouldn't want to eat there knowing their ingredients probably go pretty slow, so probably not fresh.
